Terms of Use
Last updated 21 October 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and 18Chai Ltd for the Weekwell app and the weekwell.app website (together, “Weekwell”). By downloading, opening or using Weekwell, you accept them. If you don’t accept them, please don’t use Weekwell.
In short
- Weekwell is a personal logbook and reminder tool. It isn’t medical advice and never calculates or suggests doses.
- Your amounts, plans and decisions come from you and your healthcare professional. Weekwell records what you enter.
- Reminders depend on your phone and its settings, so keep another way to remember important doses.
- Your records stay on your phone. Keep a backup, because we can’t recover data we never hold.
- Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play, and you cancel there.
This summary helps you find your way; the full terms below are what apply.
1. Who we are
Weekwell is operated by 18Chai Ltd, a company registered in the Republic of Cyprus (registration number HE 454100), with its registered office in Paphos, Cyprus. Email: hello@weekwell.app.
2. Who can use Weekwell
Weekwell is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement, and the app asks you to confirm this before you start. If you record information about someone else, you need their permission.
3. What Weekwell is, and what it isn’t
Weekwell helps adults record and organise information they enter about their own medication or treatment routine, supplies and wellbeing, and reminds them at times they choose.
Weekwell is not a medical device and is not intended for any medical purpose. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. It does not recommend treatment, calculate, convert or suggest doses, estimate medication levels, choose an injection site or interpret symptoms or other health data. Nothing in Weekwell, on the website or in our messages is medical advice, and none of it replaces advice from your doctor, pharmacist or another healthcare professional.
Always follow your prescriber’s instructions and the information that comes with your medication. Don’t start, stop or change a treatment because of something you see in Weekwell.
In an emergency, or if you feel unwell or are worried, contact your clinician, pharmacist, local urgent-care service or emergency services straight away.
The medication list in Weekwell contains names only, so you can label your own entries. A name on the list is not a recommendation, an endorsement or a statement that a product is approved or available where you live. We don’t sell, supply or help anyone obtain medication.
4. Your entries and your responsibilities
- You are responsible for what you enter, including amounts, units, dates, times and schedules. Weekwell stores and shows them exactly as entered and doesn’t check whether they are right.
- Keep your phone and Weekwell secure, for example with a device passcode and the app lock.
- Use Weekwell only for lawful, personal purposes.
5. Reminders
Reminders are delivered by your phone’s operating system. Whether one arrives on time depends on things outside our control, such as notification permissions, focus and do-not-disturb modes, battery settings, time-zone or clock changes, operating-system updates, or a phone that is off. We work hard to make reminders reliable, but we can’t promise that every reminder will be delivered. Keep another way to remember doses that matter to you.
6. Your data
Your records belong to you. They are stored on your phone, and you can export or delete them at any time. If you delete the app or lose your phone without a backup, your records may be lost for good. Encrypted backups can only be opened with your synced keychain or your recovery code. If you lose both, nobody can restore the backup, including us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
7. Accounts
You can use Weekwell without an account. If you create one (for example to keep encrypted backups), keep your sign-in details secure and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You can delete your account from within the app at any time. We may suspend or close an account that is used to break these terms or to misuse our systems.
8. Free features, Weekwell Pro and payments
- Everything you need to run your routine is free. Weekwell Pro is an optional subscription that adds extra features. What each plan includes and costs is shown in the app before you buy.
- Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are charged to your store account. Their payment, billing and refund terms apply.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel it.
- If you start a free trial, it turns into a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. This doesn’t affect any rights you have under consumer law.
- We may change features or prices for future periods. We will tell you in advance, and you can cancel before a change takes effect.
- Your existing records, export, backup and deletion are never locked behind a subscription.
9. Licence and acceptable use
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Weekwell on devices you own or control, under these terms. You agree not to:
- copy, modify, resell or distribute Weekwell;
- reverse engineer it, except where the law allows this;
- interfere with our servers, get around security or usage limits, or access other people’s data;
- use Weekwell to break the law or to harm anyone.
10. Intellectual property
Weekwell, its name, logo, otter character, design, text and software belong to 18Chai Ltd or its licensors. These terms don’t give you any rights in them beyond the licence above. Medication names belong to their owners; Weekwell isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by any drug maker. App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc. Google Play is a trademark of Google LLC.
11. Other services
Weekwell can work with services run by others, such as Apple Health, Health Connect, the app stores and sign-in providers. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them, and we aren’t responsible for how they work.
12. Changes to Weekwell
We keep improving Weekwell, so features may change, and we may stop offering parts of it. If we stop offering Weekwell altogether, we will give reasonable notice where we can, and the records on your phone stay yours to export.
13. No warranty
To the extent the law allows, Weekwell is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always deliver reminders, or that data will never be lost. If you are a consumer, you keep the rights the law gives you, and nothing in these terms takes them away.
14. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
- decisions about your health or treatment, including anything you do or don’t do based on information in Weekwell;
- a reminder that doesn’t arrive, or arrives late;
- lost data, if you have no backup;
- indirect or consequential losses, or loss of profit, revenue or business.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims about Weekwell is limited to the greater of what you paid for Weekwell Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or €100.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, and it includes your statutory rights as a consumer.
15. Your responsibility to us
To the extent the law allows, if you break these terms or misuse Weekwell, you are responsible for the losses and claims that result.
16. Ending these terms
You can stop using Weekwell at any time by deleting the app and, if you have one, your account. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Sections 6 and 10 to 19 continue to apply after these terms end.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when Weekwell or the law changes. We will update the date at the top. For important changes, the app asks you to accept the new version before you continue. If you don’t agree with it, stop using Weekwell and delete it. Your records stay yours to export first.
18. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there. If something goes wrong, please contact us first at hello@weekwell.app, and we will try to resolve it within 30 days.
19. App store terms
If you got Weekwell from the Apple App Store:
- these terms are between you and 18Chai Ltd, not Apple, and 18Chai Ltd, not Apple, is responsible for Weekwell and its content;
- your licence lets you use Weekwell on Apple-branded products you own or control, as the App Store Usage Rules permit;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Weekwell;
- if Weekwell fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Weekwell;
- 18Chai Ltd, not Apple, is responsible for handling any claims about Weekwell. That includes product liability claims, claims that Weekwell doesn’t meet a legal or regulatory requirement, claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws, and claims that Weekwell infringes someone’s intellectual property;
- you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- you must comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use Weekwell, such as your mobile data contract;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
If you got Weekwell from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to your download and purchases. Google is not responsible for Weekwell.
20. General
These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Weekwell. If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. We may transfer these terms to another company as part of a reorganisation or sale of Weekwell, and we will tell you if that happens. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. If these terms are translated, the English version applies where they differ.
